"Service to man is service to God"  - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

 

 

Following Sathya Sai Baba’s example, Sathya Sai Baba Centers around the world are performing selfless service in the areas of Disaster relief, Healthcare and Education.  Activites include feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, establishing medical camps and clinics, educating children and adults, and overall support of those in need

In addition, the Sathya Sai International Organization (SSIO) and Sai Centers host a wide variety of events aimed at sharing spiritual inspiration through the universal teachings of Sathya Sai Baba. Some of these events include, but aren’t limited to: Retreats, public meetings, theme-specific camps and workshops, unity-based events, human values-based events, community and inter-faith forums, among others.

The Sai Love-In-Action website can provide detailed information about worldwide service activities. Additionally, a national newsletter entitled, Sathya Sai Service Opportunities, includes reports and articles giving an insight into the wide range of service activities in which members of the Organization are involved throughout the nation. The newsletter can be obtained with a subscription to the Sathya Sai Newsletter, U.S.A

 Current Service Projects at our Center:
  • Sack Lunches for shelter residents
        Bag lunches are made for local shelter residents who are going out to work during the day.
  • Pillow making for Cancer Patients undergoing treatment
        Hand made pillows with an inspirational message are donated to a local hospital to be used             for their comfort during chemotherapy treatment.
  • Thanksgiving Food Service
        A multiple course, hot meal is prepared for residents of a local shelter to commemorate the             birthday of Sathya Sai Baba ,each November.
  • Supplies for Animal Shelter
        Supplies including dog/cat food and other supplies are collected for use by the local animal             shelter.
  • Prayer Beads (Sai Beads)
        Decorative bracelets are made with individual beads for patients at a local hospital.
  • Classroom Supplies for Teachers
        School supplies are collected for use in some of the more needy local schools.  Without                     another source, teachers  often purchase these supplies out of their own pockets to help                 underprivileged students.
